Fort Amherst & Ghost Tours

Fort Amherst tunnels offer an interesting venue for a tour that is somewhat different from the normal! A tour of over half a mile of darkened tunnels 20 meters underground lit only by the flickering light from lanterns.

Accompanied by your guide, with a lantern, you will hear tales of the mysterious and sinister happenings at the Fort during its 250 year history.

This is an entertainment event without special effects BUT anything you may see or hear will not be down to us!!

Ghost tours are usually conducted during the evening of the 1st Friday of each month, and commence at 7.45pm. The tour duration is about an hour or so. Pre booking is essential. Part of the tour takes place in the open so, Warm clothing and "sensible" shoes are a must.
