Underwater World
At Underwater World we strive to make every visit an occasion of pleasure and discovery. This is particularly important for our younger visitors if they are to grow up caring about our seas and the life within them.
An extremely wide range of subjects can be studied at Underwater World; from science, maths and the environment, to art, design and even history. With the help of our skilled educational staff, students can learn at first hand about the sea, marine life, pollution and conservation.
Our talks and feeding displays are designed to stimulate the senses and create the desire to investigate and discover. As well as raising awareness of our marine environment with a unique mixture of fun and learning, Underwater World is also busy behind the scenes with a variety of conservation projects. In particular, we have our own captive-breeding programme for a wide range of species including our homebred spiny seahorses.
